ZMQ worked together with TERI – The Energy and Resources Institute developed gird and off-grid systems and their simulations. ZMQ researched and developed five basic energy resources namely Solar, Hydro-power, Bio-diesel, Bio-mass gasification and Wind Energy with simulations of basic principles, applications, advantages, installation, operation & maintenance, cost-effectiveness and case studies. This technology tool was deployed in different villages and was deployed with over 2500 Panchayats, which helped in taking decision on which kind of renewable energy resources is suitable for different villages and terrains. Over 350 trainers were created who worked as peer educators in the villages.
