‘It’s My Life’ is a Game developed by ZMQ for UNESCO in HIV/AIDS awareness. The objective of the program is to have a computer based game with scenarios and multimedia tools on HIV and AID for youth, and is to have Edutainment (educational entertainment) approach with accurate scientific information. The project aims to provide scientifically accurate information on HIV and AIDS for youth, which will help young people to gain accurate understanding of HIV and AIDS issues and prevention practices and at the same time, change their risky behaviour. The target audience of the game is young people aged 16-21 years of age.

In the game, the main character gets a phone call from his friend’s girlfriend (if the player is a girl and she chose her main character as a girl the roles could reverse and the call will come from her friend’s boyfriend), and she asks him to find her boyfriend, as he doesn’t answer phone calls and is not at home. As a clue, she offers the friend’s diary. In the diary there are notes for the previous day beginning with the words “HIV” and “AIDS” circled with a red marker. There are over 12 different situations in the game where the user/player goes around the game and explores and meet different people like nurse, doctor, tattoo expert, bar girl, gym trainer etc. which guides them through various interaction and help them in investigate what is HIV and AIDS; and how it can be prevented.
